This radical departure from pickup design is aluminum based, rather than copper. Result: less resistance, higher output coupled to a "current driven design" as opposed to conventional voltage based pickups.

The aluminum water jet cut exoskeleton is then matted to a micro winding using 90% less fine copper wire, a low impedance/high impedance pickup is then created.

Sonic Evaluation
More bass then traditional single coils, more volume, mids are slightly more then conventional pickups. Highs are clear yet smooth, nicely equalized.

With a 5-position switch they provide surprisingly very stratty in between tones.

Pickgaurd Note: Alumitones require a rectangular cutout, simple modification is usually required.

Alumitone Humbucker

Broadband response like our single coil version, but voiced for the classic mid range response humbucker tone. Installing two of these Alumitones on your guitar will save you 1/3lb of weigh and increase your guitars resonance! Available in standard or split-mode (3.4SC)

Alumitone Deathbucker

Using patented and patent pending Lace® “current driven” technology, the Deathbucker™ was designed for high output with a heavy metal drive. Extreme output with thunderous bottom end, yet crisp highs allow the player the most versatile of high output pickups. “This passive design yields active pickup performance with absolutely zero noise and no need for a battery” states Jeff Lace. “In split mode, the unique Alumitone® design is dead quiet with full range” further stated Lace.

Another Deathbucker™ advantage is there is no volume drop in split mode and working as a single coil; noise is virtually eliminated in comparison to standard old style humbucker designs.

Deathbuckers™ are compatible with all guitars and other pickups. As an easy drop in replacement, the 4 conductor design needs only 250k pots. It is excellent for any playing situation from live to direct to board recording.

Alumitone Series Aluma T

The new Aluma ™ T pickup and it’s matched pickguard were designed for direct drop in replacement for one of the most popular guitars made today, the Telecaster®.

Voiced for traditional twang, yet with a broad band frequency response the new Aluma™ T gives the player zero noise and full response for the most demanding country player.

Unique is it’s design the Aluma ™ T does come with a Alumitone ® specific cutout on the American made pickguard. The black Lace® Genuine Alumitone® single ply pickguard, is designed for a standard retro fit for any standard guitar.
